Hello! I’m Jen, nice to meet you virtually! I’m currently a third-year Bachelor of Architecture student at California College of the Arts, with a minor in Ecological Practices, based in San Francisco and Fremont.
I’m passionate about thoughtful and creative design as a medium to create a long-lasting positive impact on the environment and on people. I’m interested in commercial and residential architecture and am influenced by the intersections between ecological, social, and urban contexts.

When I was 17, I volunteered for Tri-City Food Bank and Thrift Store in my local town of Fremont, CA, where I have been for the majority of my life. I received the Gold and Silver President’s Volunteer Service Awards for my service there. But more importantly, I was immersed in the culture of Fremont through daily interaction with marginalized and discriminated communities, including unhoused and low-income populations. I gained an invaluable experience that continues to shape my values as a person as well as my mindset and intentions as a designer.
I view architecture as a form of service and as an opportunity to collaborate and depict a narrative that others can become a part of. Architecture can act as a medium for re-interpretation and impart discoveries informed by analysis of current patterns in society.
